Sheffield Croquet Club
Formed in 2013, Sheffield Croquet Club are based at Hillsborough Park Bowling Club, Middlewood Road, Sheffield.  We have exclusive use of one of the large bowling lawns for playing croquet.

New members are always very welcome to join us; don’t worry if you have never played croquet before.  The club will provide all the equipment you will need, and our coaches will provide initial training for all members
who are new to croquet.

You would be very welcome to come along to any of our normal club sessions, and try your hand under the guidance of one of our more experienced players.    More about our Club

Croquet is a sport for everyone

Croquet can be played by all ages and men and women can play on equal terms.  Croquet offers something different; it is a fresh-air sport that does not require extreme fitness.  Playing croquet provides opportunities to meet people, and at the same time can be as competitive as you want to make it.

Croquet is often caricatured as being a genteel game played on the lawns of Victorian vicarages.  Today, nothing could be further from the truth.  It is a game which not only requires good eye-hand co-ordination, but also real precision, delicacy of touch & an understanding of tactics.                       More about Croquet
