We are open for play from Friday 2nd April 2021, with measures put in place to reduce any risk of transmission.

Following the first lockdown, croquet was one of only 8 sports permitted to reopen on 13th May 2020 by the Government - as an ideal sport for social distancing.

Contact us if you wish to give croquet a go - all equipment is sanitised before play, and there is minimal contact with any equipment except the mallet you are playing with.

New members are welcome; don’t worry if you've never played before!  The club will provide all the equipment you will need, and our coaches will provide initial training.

You can come along to any of our normal club sessions, and try your hand under the guidance of one of our more experienced players. Or book a bespoke session with friends and family - see More about our Club

Croquet is a sport for everyone

Croquet can be played by all ages, and men and women play on equal terms.  Croquet offers something different; it is a open-air sport that does not require extreme fitness.  Playing croquet provides opportunities to meet people, and can be as competitive as you want to make it!

Croquet is often caricatured as being a genteel game played on the lawns of Victorian vicarages.  Today, nothing could be further from the truth.  It is a sport which requires hand-eye co-ordination, precision, delicacy of touch and tactics.  More about Croquet
